This is not your five hymn sandwich service, rather it is a service that is intergenerational with music that appeals across the generations.
This is a service that welcomes your involvement and your questions.
Some nights we even manage to grab a meal together afterwards.
Messy Church
5pm third Sunday of the month
There are many meanings of the word Messy - Disorderly, confused, untidy, embarrassing or difficult. Many of these words can sum up how most of us live. And that is what Messy Church is all about.
Messy church isn't about getting physically messy. It is acknowledging that life can be messy and that we all often live on the messy edges of life.
Messy church usually incorporates a mindfulness activity such as colouring in or a prayerful meditation. There is often a food based activity as well as a craft. Craft can be shared or individual. But most of all messy church is about community - being able to converse with people you don’t normally have time to converse with as you do an activity together. Then we share in a brief celebration service before sitting around the table for a community meal.
